As an overview, you’ll require the following inputs:

1)  Your peak electricity cost (found in cents, on the back of your bill)
2)  The Watts (W) of the appliance (found on the back of the appliance)
3)  An estimate of how many hours a day you a) use the appliance, and b) leave it in standby.

Record your results for each appliance in the table provided, and see how much they are costing you overall – and inparticular, how much Standby is costing you unnecessarily (approximately)!
